Design of Brebex BESS – 80MW/160MWh - Serbia

Brebex 80MW BESS is one of the FIRST large-scale Battery Energy Storage Projects to be deployed in Serbia.

Valen Power Engineering were contracted by Future Energy Systems to provide Electrical Design expertise to produce FEED Design deliverables and conduct a review of the Final Submission for the FIRST Large Scale BESS Project in Serbia. The Battery Energy Storage System is required to be co-located with an 80MW Windfarm and 300MW Synchronous Power Plant to balance fluctuations in the generation from the Windfarm to meet the requirements of Serbia’s Grid Code

Single Line and Key Line Diagrams showing Primary Plant and Protection configurations
Preliminary Communications Topology Diagrams
Preliminary Auxiliary Transformer sizing calculations, LVAC Cable sizing calculations and DC Cable sizing calculations
Selection of suitable MV, LVAC and DC Cables
