Blyth Offshore Wind Farm is a 11.5MW Demonstrator Wind Farm off the coast of Northumberland, connected at 66kV to Northern PowerGrid.
Valen Power Engineering Limited (VPEL) were contracted by EDS HV to perform Routine Invasive Maintenance of the Onshore and Offshore assets that form part of the Offshore Wind Farm.
The Onshore Substation consisted of 6 Bays of ABB PASS 66kV Switchgear, an Auxiliary Transformer & Shunt Reactor. There are 5x2.3MW WTGs, with associated Electrical Equipment.
